An apostolic is a follower of a false apostle [2COR 11:13-15].

There is only one Apostle spelled with a capital letter, and He is also the High Priest of our profession, His Name is Christ Jesus [HEB 3:1]. He is the only living Apostle that can send the Comforter [JOH 16:7] which is the Holy Ghost [JOH 14:26]. Furthermore, Jesus only chose twelve apostles when He was physically here on earth and He gave them power to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease [MAT 10:1-4, LUK 22:14, REV 21:10-14]. Paul was the last and the least of all the apostles to see Jesus [1COR 15:7-9]. Paul wrought the signs of an apostle among the Corinthians in patience,
signs,
and wonders,
and mighty deeds [2COR 12:12].

When the eleven apostles chose another to take Judas' bishoprick, it had to be someone that:
1. was with them all the time that Jesus went in and out among them,
2. beginning from the baptism of John unto the same day that Jesus was taken up from them,
3. only one would be ordained that was also a witness of Jesus' resurrection.

Only two out of the about an hundred and twenty disciples met the three criteria set out above to qualify as an apostle, namely:
1. Joseph Justus (Barsabas)
2. Matthias

The eleven apostles then prayed to the Lord to show which of these two He had chosen to take part of the ministry and apostleship from which Judas had fallen. The lot fell upon Matthias to be numbered with the eleven apostles [ACT 1:12-26]. These apostles didn't go around ordaining more apostles after that, they built church communities and ordained elders as bishops, and deacons to serve tables in their communities [ACT 6:1-7, PHP 1:1-2, 1TIM 3:1-13, 2TIM 4:22, TIT 1:5-9, TIT 3:15].

The Christian church is built upon the foundation of the above mentioned apostles (New Testament) and prophets (Old Testament) of which Jesus Christ is the chief corner stone [EPH 2:19-22]. For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ [1COR 3].

Now I have the following questions for your “modern-day Apostles” who claim to have the “office” of Apostle:
1. who ordained you as an Apostle?
2. when did you see Jesus of Nazareth?
3. in which hospitals and clinics are you healing people of all sicknesses and diseases?
4. which signs, wonders and mighty deeds have you performed and where?
5. when were you with the eleven apostles while Jesus of Nazareth was preaching, from the time John baptised Him till the time He was taken up from them into heaven?

* all verses used as reference were found in the KJV and AFR 33 translationsUxolohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06679688786100434955noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2425669952325692452.post-19633577909075560592020-03-03T00:48:21.483+01:002020-03-03T00:48:21.483+01:00Wow very insightful brother. Also according to my KJV Bible, Jesus...@ Anonymous:
Also according to my KJV Bible, Jesus didn’t tell His disciples that the world would hate them because they were “Apostolics” or because they were called apostles.

Jesus sent His twelve apostles to the lost sheep of the house of Israel and He warned them that He was sending them as sheep in the midst of wolves. They would be delivered up to the councils, scourged in the synagogues, brought before governors and kings for Jesus’ sake, and hated of all men for Jesus’ name's sake (Mat 10:5-22). The OAC on the other hand never preach Jesus or His Name, they preach about themselves, their self appointed apostles and their “apostolic way of life”…

Jesus warned Peter, James, John and Andrew that they would be delivered up to councils, beaten in the synagogues and brought before rulers and kings for Jesus’ sake. They would be hated of all men for Jesus’ name's sake (Mat 24:3-9, Mar 13:3-13). Which of the OAC’s apostles have ever been beaten in the synagogues and brought before rulers and kings for Jesus’ sake?...

Jesus told His disciples (of which He had more than 12) that if the world hated them, they should know that it hated Him before it hated them. The reason why the world would hate them is because they are not of the world because Jesus chose them out of the world (Joh 15:18-19). The OAC also hate Jesus because they deny Him by referring to themselves as the resurrected Christ… The blood that He physically shed on the cross means nothing to the OAC because they believe in their own blood and their own works…Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00584233293671073352noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2425669952325692452.post-87808621823926689992019-05-20T23:31:46.520+02:002019-05-20T23:31:46.520+02:00@ Anonymous:
I don’t know which version of the Bib...@ Anonymous:
I don’t know which version of the Bible you’re reading but according to my KJV Bible, Jesus never said to His original 12 apostles that they were "a city set on top of a mountain, one that never disappears", but He did tell the great multitudes of people from Galilee, and from Decapolis, and from Jerusalem, and from Judaea, and from beyond Jordan that followed Him and His disciples “Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid” (Mat 4:25, Mat 5:1, Mat 5:14, Mat 7:28-29). The OAC and their apostles are not exactly "a city set on top of a mountain…", especially since they’re so secretive and their “policy that does not allow the Church or its Officers to participate formally on social media”…Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00584233293671073352noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2425669952325692452.post-37865554689661167502019-05-18T16:07:27.737+02:002019-05-18T16:07:27.737+02:00My comment didn’t use scripture to prove or dispro...My comment didn’t use scripture to prove or disprove anything; I was merely stating a fact. That’s why I referred you to those two posts which make detailed use of scripture. When Jesus said "love your neighbor as you love yourself" He was most certainly talking to all of us (Matthew 5:1) because He was quoting Scripture and elaborating on it (Leviticus 19:9-18, Matthew 5:43-48, Matthew 19:16-19, Matthew 22:34-40, Mark 12:28-34). His apostles and disciples spread the same message (Romans 13:8-14, 1 Corinthians 13:1-3, Galatians 5:1-15, James 2:1-13).

The message of your modern day apostles is exactly what Jesus warned us against.
Matthew 24:23-28 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not. For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Behold, I have told you before. Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not. For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.

You believe your modern day apostle and that’s why you “see a Need for a living Apostle in this day and beyond” because they convinced you that the Apostle and High Priest of our profession isn’t Jesus Christ of Nazareth.

I discussed this in further detail here:
Doctrine - OAC’s version of Jesus http://oldapostolicchurchrevealed.blogspot.co.za/2017/06/doctrine-oacs-version-of-jesus.html

For the record the word “apostolic” is not written anywhere in the Bible. We do however read of Christians and that the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch (Acts 11:25-26). Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ almost convinced king Agrippa to become a Christian (Acts 26:28-29). If any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf (1 Peter 4:16). Furthermore, after the apostles were sent out to evangelize the world to become Christian, they ordained bishops (1 Timothy 3:1-7, 2 Timothy 4:22, Titus 1:5-16, Titus 3:15) and deacons (1 Timothy 3:8-13). Christianity has continued to grow worldwide ever since then, so Jesus certainly wasn’t lying.

As for the rest of your remarks, that’s your opinion and you’re entitled to your opinion.Ex-OAC critichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01706738902142655667noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2425669952325692452.post-13639326557273411192019-05-18T06:40:10.047+02:002019-05-18T06:40:10.047+02:00Brother, you still haven't disproved the exist...Brother, you still haven't disproved the existence of modern-day Apostles using scripture, which by the way you are very good at. Funny you should say Jesus wasn't talking to the Ninows and the Klibbes but when he says "love your neighbor as you love yourself" then he is suddenly talking to me and you.

I think you are too patriotic in your beliefs and that makes you very biased. Sure there were schims in their church after more than 2000 years of its existence, big surprise huh. What I'm getting out of all this is that ya'll who are not Apostolics don't like them Apostles very much till this day as Jesus told the original 12 that the world would hate them.I am happy to report that whenever i read the bible, especially the New Testament i see a Need for a living Apostle in this day and beyond, otherwise then Jesus was lying when he called them "a city set on top of a mountain, one that never disappears" but then again you are going to say "oh no that's could be reference to anyone who receives christ, not necessarily an Apostle". Very subjective way to read your bible and it's very dangerous. In the book of Matthew10v41-42 Jesus said to his Apostles as he was sending them "those who receive you receive me and the father and those who receive you not, reject me and the father" so in short my concept of being saved is to receive Jesus through his Apostles and do his will.If anyone can disprove the existence of modern-day Apostles then i would gladly turn to the bible to receive Jesus, brother.
