Apostles
and underdeacons

For those of
you who don’t understand Afrikaans, this member is saying that the OAC is the right
church “...because it’s built on the foundation of the apostle and prophet
(Ephesians 2v20)... and all the offices mentioned in the scriptures are found
in the doctrine of the apostle...”
This is like
saying that if you call your skateboard a Ferrari then your skateboard must be the
right racing car.
One OAC "Apostle" takes over from another OAC "Apostle" |
Some OAC members like to boast
that all of their offices are
mentioned in the Bible and then poke fun at other churches that don’t have the
offices of “apostle”, “prophet” or “evangelist”.
These OAC members believe
their argument carries more weight when someone from another church can’t show
the titles of their officers in the Bible. They conveniently ignore the fact
that there’s no mention in the Bible of “underdeacon” either. The OAC also don’t have
bishops and deacons which are specifically mentioned as offices in the Bible (1 Timothy
3:1-13, 2 Timothy 4:22, Titus 1:7-9, Titus 3:15).
The offices of bishop and deacon did exist in the Catholic Apostolic Church which
forms a part of the history of the OAC. There’s also no
mention in the Bible that an “overseer” is the double office of a “pastor” and
a “teacher”. As for the need for “priest”, Jesus did away with the
Levitical priesthood forever when He became our eternal High Priest (Hebrews 7:1-28).
Jesus’ priesthood after the
order of Melchisedec is forever and non-transferable (Hebrews 7:24).
Hebrews 7:24 But this
man, because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood.
According to
Strong’s, the word “unchangeable” is translated from the Greek word aparabatos and is defined as:
not
passing away,
that is, untransferable (perpetual):
- unchangeable.
Regarding
the titles of the office bearers of “apostle”, “prophet” and “evangelist”, this is based on a literal interpretation of certain
passages in the Bible.
1 Corinthians 12:27-28 Now ye
are the body of Christ, and members in particular. And God hath set some in the
church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers,
after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of
tongues.
Ephesians 2:19-20 Now
therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the
saints, and of the household of God; And are built upon the foundation of
the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner
stone;
Ephesians 4:11 And he
gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some,
evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
If the literal
titles of “apostle” and “prophet” are literally applicable,
then there should also be literal titles in the OAC for “teacher”, “miracle”,
“gift of healing”, “diversity of tongues” etc. (1 Corinthians 12:27-28).
Further reading
of the Bible reveals that certain women were known as prophetesses whereas every
female congregant in the OAC is simply known
as “sister” (Exodus
15:20, Judges 4:4, 2 Kings 22:14, 2 Chronicles
34:22, Nehemiah 6:14, Isaiah 8:3, Luke 2:36).
Galatians 3:28 There is
neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male
nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
At this
point some OAC members may say
that these are not titles, but the gifts of Christ. They will then use
the example of Christ Jesus and say that Christ is the “gift” and that
Jesus is the “flesh”. Then
they will imply that “Brother Jones” for example carries the spiritual gift of
“brother” and that “Jones” is his flesh.
- Firstly, Jesus IS the Christ (Matthew 1:16, Matthew 16:20, Matthew 26:63, Matthew 27:17, Matthew 27:22, Mark 12:35, John 20:31, Acts 2:36, Acts 17:3, Acts 18:5, Acts 18:28, Romans 8:11, 1 John 2:22, 1 John 5:1) and throughout the Bible, Jesus and Christ are used interchangeably.
- Secondly, spiritual gifts are functions of the Spirit, not offices or titles (1 Corinthians 12:1-31) and the best gift is charity (1 Corinthians 13:1-3).
- Thirdly, nowhere in the Bible will we read of “apostle Peter” or “apostle Paul” in that order as if it were an office or a title. What we do read is “an apostle of Jesus Christ” and that Paul was also an apostle of the Gentiles (Romans 11:13).
Paul was an
unmarried apostle and if the Bible is supposed to be understood “spiritually” and not literally according
to the OAC, then there’s no
reason why the OAC’s unmarried single
members and “sisters” can’t also be ordained as “officers” (Matthew
19:10-12, Matthew 22:29-30, Mark 12:24-25, Luke 20:34-36,
Romans
16:1-3, 1 Corinthians 7:7-8, 1 Corinthians 7:32-40).
There are
also other churches who claim to have “apostles” because they believe that
additional “apostles” were ordained besides the twelve apostles chosen by Jesus. They cite Ananias,
Andronicus, Junias, Epaphroditus, Silvanus, James the Lord’s brother and
Apollos as examples.
- Jesus sent seventy disciples in pairs to the cities (Luke 10:1-17) but there are never more than twelve apostles mentioned (Matthew 10:1-4, 1 Corinthians 15:4-7).
- Regarding Ananias, the Bible doesn’t refer to him as an apostle but as a certain disciple (Acts 9:10, Acts 9:17-18, Acts 22:12).
- Andronicus and Junias are mentioned only once in the whole Bible and the Bible does not say that they were apostles (Romans 16:7). They were Paul’s kinsmen and fellow prisoners, and therefore of note among the apostles. It doesn’t say of note as apostles.
- Epaphroditus is mentioned only three times in the Bible and not once is he referred to as an apostle (Philippians 2:25, Philippians 4:18, Philippians 4:23).
- Silvanus is mentioned only four times in the Bible and not once is he referred to as an apostle (2 Corinthians 1:19, 1 Thessalonians 1:1, 2 Thessalonians 1:1, 1 Peter 5:12).
- James, the Lord’s brother is not called an apostle (Galatians 1:19, 1 Corinthians 15:7).
- Apollos is mentioned ten times in the Bible and not once is he referred to as an apostle (Acts 18:24, Acts 19:1, 1 Corinthians 1:12, 1 Corinthians 3:4-6, 1 Corinthians 3:22, 1 Corinthians 4:6, 1 Corinthians 16:12, Titus 3:13).
Saul (his
Aramaic/Hebrew name) also known as Paul (his Roman/Greek name) was selected by Jesus Himself to be a chosen
vessel to bear His name before the Gentiles, kings and children of Israel. Jesus selected him to suffer
for His name’s sake (Acts 9:1-16). Jesus called Paul to be an
apostle, Paul himself literally saw Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 9:1). He was the
last of all the apostles to see Jesus as of one born out of
due time. Paul considered himself as the least of all the apostles and didn’t
feel fit to be called an apostle (1 Corinthians 15:3-9). Despite the way he
felt, Paul displayed all the signs of a
true apostle through signs, wonders and mighty deeds (2 Corinthians 12:12). You’ll
notice that Paul wasn’t “prophesied” into
apostleship.
Barnabas was
one of certain prophets and teachers in the church at Antioch (Acts 13:1).
As they fasted, they received an instruction from the Holy Ghost for Barnabas
and Saul to go preach the word of God in the synagogues of the Jews in Salamis
(Acts 13:2-5).
Later on Barnabas and Paul are referred to collectively as apostles (Acts 14:14).
They didn’t operate independently though, they still went to Jerusalem to
consult with the apostles and elders when there was a dispute (Acts 15:2).
There was also sharp contention between Paul and Barnabas (Acts 15:36-41).
According to
Strong’s, the word “apostle” is translated from the Greek word apostolos and is defined as:
a delegate;
specifically an ambassador of the
Gospel; officially a commissioner of
Christ (“apostle”), (with miraculous powers): - apostle, messenger, he that is
sent.
The same
Greek word apostolos is also used to
mean:
- “...he that is sent...”
- “...they are the messengers...”
- “...messenger...”
John 13:16 Verily,
verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he
that is sent greater than he that sent him.
2 Corinthians 8:23 Whether
any do enquire of Titus, he is my partner and fellowhelper concerning you: or
our brethren be enquired of, they are the messengers of the churches,
and the glory of Christ.
Philippians 2:25 Yet I
supposed it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus, my brother, and companion in
labour, and fellowsoldier, but your messenger, and he that ministered to
my wants.
Therefore in
a broader sense, the word “apostle” is transferred to the other eminent
Christian teachers who were sent as messengers. Not as an office or a title,
but as a function. To be a messenger you don’t need to carry an official title
of “Messenger”. Anybody can be a messenger, even a pigeon or a child could be a
messenger without an official title. The messenger isn’t greater than the
message.
Jesus had many more disciples
but only twelve were selected to be His apostles. Therefore in a narrower
sense, the word “apostle” is specially applied to the twelve disciples of Jesus who were selected out
of the multitude of His disciples. They were His constant companions and were
called to proclaim the kingdom of God to men (Luke 6:13, Luke 22:14). To these twelve
apostles He also gave the power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and
to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease (Matthew 10:1).
Jesus’ apostles and disciples
were literally able to heal the sick and raise the dead (Mark 6:7-13, Acts 3:1-16,
Acts 5:12-16,
Acts 8:5-8,
Acts 9:36-43,
Acts 14:8-18,
Acts 20:7-12,
Acts 28:3-9).
The names of
the twelve apostles that were handpicked by Jesus (Matthew 10:2-4):
- Simon, who is called Peter
- Andrew (brother of Simon, who is called Peter)
- James the son of Zebedee
- John (brother of James, son of Zebedee)
- Philip
- Bartholomew
- Thomas
- Matthew the publican
- James the son of Alphaeus
- Lebbaeus, whose surname was Thaddaeus;
- Simon the Canaanite
- Judas Iscariot
Judas was
numbered with these twelve and obtained part of the ministry (Psalm 41:9,
John 13:18).
After Judas by transgression fell, only one
other was ordained to be numbered with the eleven remaining apostles. He had to
be a witness with them of Jesus’ resurrection, beginning from the baptism of John unto
the same day that Jesus was taken up from them.
Only two were appointed; Barsabas Justus and Matthias. Then they prayed and gave
forth their lots and the lot fell upon Matthias to be numbered with the eleven
apostles (Acts
1:15-26). You’ll notice that Matthias wasn’t “prophesied” into
apostleship.
That great
city, the holy Jerusalem out of heaven from God has twelve gates named after
the twelve tribes of the children of Israel. The wall of the city has twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb (Revelations 21:10-14).
In other
words you won’t see the names of Klibbe or Ninow or Campbell or Boshoff or
Dywili or Sgenu on these holy foundations. Before a house is built, the
foundation first needs to be laid. Once the foundation has been laid, the house
can be built. Once building starts, there’s no need to lay the foundation again!
A foundation is only laid once |
There is
only one instance in the whole Bible where Apostle
is spelled with a capital “A”:
Hebrews 3:1 Wherefore,
holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle
and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus
The Apostle
and High Priest is not a church or some mere mortal thousands of years later,
but the one and only Jesus the Christ (1 Timothy 2:5).

A rainbow has seven colors; Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo and Violet.
The natural is the forerunner of the spiritual, thus the OAC’s imaginary rainbow looks like this:
Red = Elder
Orange = Fourfold Office (Evangelist, Prophet, Overseer)
Yellow = Underdeacon
Green = Priest
Blue = Sister
Indigo = ???
Violet = ???
What about the rest of the Officers??? Where does the brother (Brown) and the apostle (White/Silver) fit into this imaginary rainbow Officer structure??? Where does the Bible say that the rainbow is an Officers’ structure??? Where does the Bible speak of an Officer’s structure like that of the OAC???
The bow is a token of the covenant that the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh [GEN 9:11-15]!!! No mention of Officers!!!
Yes, the Bible speaks of Deacon and nowhere in the Bible of an Underdeacon or Sub-Deacon. Why do we as the OAC have a Underdeacon?
ReplyDeleteThe duties of the deacon in the Bible are the work of the Priest.
The Und Deacon is actually becoming a Priest and serves as a help to the Priest
Thus the Priest (Shepherd and Teacher) is the Priest for the Congregation and the Underdeacon.
Elder is the (Shepherd and Teacher) the Priest for the Priests.
Overseer (Shepherd and Teacher) the Priest for the Elders.
Apostle (Shepherd and Teacher) the Priest for the Fourfoldofficers (Overseers, Evangelists, and Prophets)
Anton, you are 100% correct that there’s no mention anywhere in the Bible of an “Underdeacon”, yet you continue to defend a non-Biblical “office” with non-Biblical standpoints. The duties of the priesthood are explained in detail in Numbers 18, there is no mention whatsoever of a deacon’s duties being the work of the “Priest”. Philippians 1:1 refers to bishops and deacons, not “priests and underdeacons”. The deacon is an assistant and the qualifications for a deacon are clearly outlined in 1 Timothy 3:8-13. The English word “deacon” is translated from the Greek word “diakoneō” (διακονέω) which means to be an attendant, that is, wait upon (menially or as a host, friend or [figuratively] teacher). The first time that the word “diakoneō” is used is in Acts 6:2 when the twelve apostles required seven men of honest report full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom to “serve tables”. The seven men selected for this task were Stephen, Philip, Prochorus, Nicanor, Timon, Parmenas and Nicolas a proselyte of Antioch (Acts 6:1-7).
DeleteI urge you to read and study your Bible so that your understanding may be opened; you are being lied to with unbiblical statements by men who don’t know the Bible.

Christian (i.e. NOT apostolic)
[ACT 11:26, ACT 26:28-29, 1 PET 4:16-19]
✝ A Christian is a follower of Christ. An apostolic is a follower of a false apostle [2COR 11:13-15].
☝ There is only one Apostle spelled with a capital letter, and He is also the High Priest of our profession, His Name is Christ Jesus [HEB 3:1]. He is the only living Apostle that can send the Comforter [JOH 16:7] which is the Holy Ghost [JOH 14:26]. Furthermore, Jesus only chose twelve apostles when He was physically here on earth and He gave them power to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease [MAT 10:1-4, LUK 22:14, REV 21:10-14]. Paul was the last and the least of all the apostles to see Jesus [1COR 15:7-9]. Paul wrought the signs of an apostle among the Corinthians in patience,
signs,
and wonders,
and mighty deeds [2COR 12:12].
When the eleven apostles chose another to take Judas' bishoprick, it had to be someone that:
was with them all the time that Jesus went in and out among them,
beginning from the baptism of John unto the same day that Jesus was taken up from them,
only one would be ordained that was also a witness of Jesus' resurrection.
Only two out of the about an hundred and twenty disciples qualified to become an apostle, namely:
 Joseph Justus (Barsabas)
 Matthias
The eleven apostles then prayed to the Lord to show which of these two He had chosen to take part of the ministry and apostleship from which Judas had fallen. The lot fell upon Matthias to be numbered with the eleven apostles [ACT 1:12-26]. These apostles didn't go around ordaining more apostles after that, they built church communities and ordained elders as bishops, and deacons to serve tables in their communities [ACT 6:1-7, PHP 1:1-2, 1TIM 3:1-13, 2TIM 4:22, TIT 1:5-9, TIT 3:15] .
The Christian church is built upon the foundation of the above mentioned apostles (New Testament) and prophets (Old Testament) of which Jesus Christ is the chief corner stone [EPH 2:19-22]. For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ [1COR 3].
Now I have the following questions for anyone who claims to have the office of Apostle:
1. who ordained you as an Apostle?
2. when did you see Jesus of Nazareth?
3. in which hospitals and clinics are you healing people of all sicknesses and diseases?
4. which signs, wonders and mighty deeds have you performed and where?
5. when were you with the eleven apostles while Jesus of Nazareth was preaching, from the time John baptised Him till the time He was taken up from them into heaven?

Officers and Apostleship Greed.
DeleteI was privi to the 2014 Financial Documents and Budgets for KZN while attending the annual Financial meeting in Malvern Community where all the officers met once a year to discuss the financial state of the Church.
The average salary of the Apostels were R100 000 per MONTH.
The average salary of the Fourfold officers that worked for Head Office from 8 to 5 pm as an employee on a natural basis, was around R60 000 per month.
Then, they also got a FULL 100% Bonus In November, which meant a juicy R100 000 to R120 000 salary. And these positions that these Fourfold officers held were very mundane positions of managing maintenance on the halls and so on. Something that any other person could do for R25 000 per month.
On top of that, they received R15 000 house subsidies.
Cell phone alowences and also shared a pool car and received travel allowances.
These exorbitant salaries and perks totalled 60% of the cost to run KZN region.
Yes.. only 40% of the funds/ tithes were allocated to maintenance of halls, municipal costs and so on.
So I ask you with tears in my eyes.. The Church places so much pressure on members and officers to tithe even when they are not capable to do so... all for what? To keep greedy officers' pockets full.
Ever wondered why so many officers are put in during Sealing services? To boost the tights of course. When you are an officer on the OAC, you are obligated to Tithe.
So let's out 10 new Underdeacons in and 6 Priests.. regardless of how capable they are. Regardless of there were any gifts..
We look good in the eyes of the Apostels and the cash will roll in.
Prove me wrong... I am all ears.
UNDERDEACONS?
ReplyDeleteSome OAC members seem convinced that “underdeacons” were recorded in the Bible as part of the ministry and that those verses were removed from the Bible. Some time ago an OAC “priest” tried to back this up by stating that the old Dutch Bible made mention of “underdeacons”. The KJV translation and the AFR 33/53 translations are approved by the OAC. The old Dutch Bible does not have additional verses in 1 Timothy 3 and the approved translations did not remove verses from the old Dutch Bible, there never was a 1 Timothy 3:26 speaking about an “underdeacon”.
In the old Dutch Bible it speaks of a diakenen, not onder diakenen. But when you read through the side notes (kanttekeningen), some OAC members will get all excited when they read “onder diakenen” in side note 26 without reading any further:
”26) eerst beproefd worden, Dit vatten sommigen zo op, alsof er nog een lagere trap in deze bediening ware geweest, die zij onder diakenen noemen, waarin zij eerst voor een tijd moesten worden beproefd; doch dat is niet nodig, daar dit woord bekwamelijk kan genomen worden van de beproeving van zulke personen aan de regelen hier voorgesteld, die door de regeerders der gemeente geschiedt.”
Once side note 26 is read in context then you realize that the side note in no way endorses the ministry of an “underdeacon”. The commentary is actually regarding “And let these also first be proved; then let them use the office of a deacon” in 1 Timothy 3:10.
English translation of side note 26:
“26) be tested first,
Some take this as if there had been a lower stage in this ministry, which they call under deacon, in which they had to be tried for a time; but it is not necessary, since this word can be taken aptly from the trial of such persons to the rules here presented by the rulers of the congregation.”
Afrikaans translation of side note 26:
“26) moet eers getoets word,
Sommige beskou dit asof daar 'n laer stadium was in hierdie bediening, wat hulle onder diaken noem, waarin hulle 'n geruime tyd beproef word; maar dit is nie nodig nie, aangesien hierdie woord op gepaste wyse geneem kan word van die verhoor van sulke persone tot die reëls wat hier deur die leiers van die gemeente aangebied word.”
When read in context it would seem that an “underdeacon” doesn’t meet the requirements yet to use the office of a deacon (which is non-existent in the OAC).
The OAC members change the Bible to suit themselves, 1 TIM 3:10 is read as “And let these also first use the office of an underdeacon; then let them use the office of a priest”

ReplyDeleteCurrent teaching: 2). How will we achieve making the Holy Bible part of our daily instruction and what is the value thereof? It is only by the grace of God that we have the God given opportunity to understand the Holy Bible spiritually and being able to make its instruction part of our daily lives. The words of the U/deacon and some great spirits transformed us to God’s will. [ROM 12:1-2]
Romans 12:1-2
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
“…The words of the U/deacon and some great spirits transformed us to God’s will…”?
DeleteReally?
What’s wrong with the words in the Bible?
What’s wrong with the epistles as recorded by Jesus’ own true apostles?
Where is the “U/deacon” or “some great spirits” even mentioned in the quoted verses?
Interesting that “U/deacon” is spelled with a capital letter and “spirits” is spelled with small letters; that says a lot!
This should immediately raise a red flag!
Evil spirits are typically plural (Matthew 8:16, Matthew 10:1, Matthew 12:43-45, Mark 1:25-27, Mark 3:10-12, Mark 5:6-13, Mark 6:7-9, Luke 4:33-36, Luke 6:17-19, Luke 7:21, Luke 8:2, Luke 11:24-26, Acts 5:16, Acts 8:7, Acts 19:11-17, 1 Timothy 4:1-3, Revelations 16:13-14).
Spiritual gifts are given to man by One Spirit – singular (1 Corinthians 12:1-11).
“Receive every apostle that comes to you as you would the Lord. But he must not stay more than one day, or two if necessary: but if he stays three days, he is a false prophet. When an apostle leaves you, give him nothing except bread until he finds shelter. If he asks for money, he is a false prophet.” – The Didache on teachers, apostles and prophets

Paul, who was the last and the least of all the apostles, had an occupation as a tentmaker.
DeleteActs 18:1-3
After these things Paul departed from Athens, and came to Corinth;
And found a certain Jew named Aquila, born in Pontus, lately come from Italy, with his wife Priscilla;
(because that Claudius had commanded all Jews to depart from Rome:) and came unto them. And because he was of the same craft, he abode with them, and wrought:
for by their occupation they were tentmakers.
Paul coveted no man's silver, or gold, or apparel. He remembered the words of the Lord Jesus that it is more blessed to give than to receive (Acts 20:33-35). Paul set the example by working day and night so that he wouldn’t be a burden to anyone, he earned the bread he was given (2 Thessalonians 3:8-9).

ReplyDeleteCurrent teaching: To have knowledge of the Spirit of God, man has to confess that Jesus Christ has come in flesh, once in the form of the man Jesus of Nazareth, but now through His risen body, the Church, The Body of Christ. Although the disciples had knowledge, they had to wait for the Holy Spirit (the Sealing in our Church). God gave the Holy Spirit for a purpose. [ACT 1:8; ROM 8:1-17]
“...confess that Jesus Christ has come in flesh, once in the form of the man Jesus of Nazareth, but now through His risen body, the Church...”?
DeleteSo the OAC admits that Jesus of Nazareth was once in the form of a man, a physical natural person?
But the OAC also want to claim to be the risen body of Jesus of Nazareth? I’m guessing the OAC still haven’t read Ephesians 5:23-32 and Colossians 1:18 yet?
Funny how the OAC only use one verse in the whole of Acts 1 as one of their references. Jesus Himself spoke the words in Acts 1:8, can anyone in the OAC guess to whom He was speaking? He spoke to His apostles (Acts 1:1-7). Does anyone in the OAC know the names of His apostles? Hint – read Matthew 10:2-4 and see if “apostle” Brink is ever mentioned. If the OAC’s “apostle” Brink bothered reading further than Acts 1:8, he would’ve read the following:
Acts 1:9-11
And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up;
and a cloud received him out of their sight. And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;
Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.
The same Jesus whose apostles followed Him wherever He preached.
The same Jesus whose apostles saw Him getting baptised by John.
The same Jesus whose resurrection was already witnessed by His apostles (Acts 1:22 and read Acts 1:1-5 again).
Please read the whole of Acts chapter 1 and take notes. Jesus’ apostles had already witnessed His resurrection. His disciples did not have to wait to get sealed in the OAC. Please do yourself a favour and also read the whole of Acts chapter 2.
Why was it expedient for Jesus to go away? If Jesus did not go away, He would not have been able to send the Comforter (John 16:4-15). Nowhere did Jesus ever say He’s going to send the OAC or any other “church” as the Holy Ghost or as Himself (Matthew 24:23-27).

[JES 40:3; MAL 4:5-6]
1 Samuel 2:35-36
Maleagi 2:5-7
12 Daarom spreek: Kyk, Ek sluit met hom my vredeverbond,
Die HERE is ons Herder, nie ‘n menslike priester nie (Psalms 23:1, Hebreërs 3:1-6, Hebreërs 7:11-28, Hebreërs 10:11-14, 1 Petrus 5:1-4).

Confession of Faith: Priest: The Priest is the Shepherd of the sheep / the children of God. [1 SAM 2:35-36; MAL 2:5-7; NUM 25:11-13] Underdeacons: have the task of managing and promoting the Evangelistic action in the congregation – they are the preparer of the way [ISA 40:3; MAL 4:5-6]
1 Samuel 2:35-36
35 And I will raise me up a faithful priest, that shall do according to that which is in mine heart and in my mind: and I will build him a sure house; and he shall walk before mine anointed for ever.
36 And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left in thine house shall come and crouch to him for a piece of silver and a morsel of bread, and shall say, Put me, I pray thee, into one of the priests' offices, that I may eat a piece of bread.
Malachi 2:5-7
5 My covenant was with him of life and peace; and I gave them to him for the fear wherewith he feared me, and was afraid before my name.
6 The law of truth was in his mouth, and iniquity was not found in his lips: he walked with me in peace and equity, and did turn many away from iniquity.
7 For the priest's lips should keep knowledge, and they should seek the law at his mouth: for he is the messenger of the LORD of hosts.
Numbers 25:11-13
11 Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, hath turned my wrath away from the children of Israel, while he was zealous for my sake among them, that I consumed not the children of Israel in my jealousy.
12 Wherefore say, Behold, I give unto him my covenant of peace:
13 And he shall have it, and his seed after him, even the covenant of an everlasting priesthood; because he was zealous for his God, and made an atonement for the children of Israel.
Isaiah 40:3
3 The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.
Malachi 4:5-6
5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD:
6 And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.
Very imaginative, but no, you’re quoting verses completely out of context.
Delete1 Samuel 2:35-36 refers to the trustworthy priest Zadok (2 Samuel 8:17, 1 Kings 2:26-35) and refers to the battle between the house of Aaron and the Zadokites. The LORD is our Shepherd, not a human priest (Psalms 23:1, Hebrews 3:1-6, Hebrews 7:11-28, Hebrews 10:11-14, 1 Peter 5:1-4).
Malachi 2:5-7 refers to the covenant with Levi (Malachi 2:4). Do OAC priests really take to heart to honour the Name of the LORD of hosts (Malachi 2:1-3, Malachi 2:8-9)?
Numbers 25:11-13 refers to Phinehas who killed an Israelite man and a Midianitish woman with his spear (Numbers 25:6-8). The prominent Israelite man and Midianitish woman committed a shameful act of fornication and sexual transgression linked to the fertility practices of foreign gods (Numbers 25:1-5). Through his actions, Phinehas sought to avenge this disgrace in the name of the LORD. Phinehas' behavior is nothing like that of OAC priests .
Isaiah 40:3 and Malachi 4:5-6 is not referring to "Underdeacons"! Please also read Malachi 3:1, Matthew 3:1-12, Mark 1:1-8, Luke 1:5-25, Luke 1:57-80, Luke 3:1-16, John 1:19-23 etc. Nowhere in the whole Bible is there any reference to "Underdeacons"! "Underdeacons" are not prophets either! John the Baptist was not an "Underdeacon" either!
Even Postman Pat is more authentic as an apostle than any of the false apostles can ever dream of….
ReplyDeleteThe cremation service of the late emeritus “apostle” DJ La Cock (ordained as an “apostle” on 16th March, 1986) took place on Wednesday, 15 December 2021 at 11:00 from the auditorium of the OAC District Head Office Complex at 5 Dolf van Niekerk Str, Langenhovenpark, Bloemfontein. Delete”…The Second Coming
The second coming of God is very important in our lives because the second coming is not possible, his promises are not possible in our lives.
The second coming is not to free us from sin. I prefer the one who chooses silent.
The Second Coming of those who received his first coming John 2 Stay tuned for we were embarrassed to come to the game.
The question is, how will it come to us as we abide in Him? 1 of John 4:14.
The second coming took place in the Apostle La Cock.
At the end of human history, the first heaven and earth will pass away. When heaven and the second world when it comes, there will be a wedding feast. The New Jerusalem seems to be from God...”
Only Jesus is the Messiah, He fulfilled the prophecies as the suffering Messiah (Isaiah 7:14, Isaiah 9:6-7, Isaiah 53), and with His second coming He will fulfill the prophecies as the conquering Messiah (Zechariah 12:10, Zechariah 14:4, Matthew 24:30, Acts 1:11, Titus 2:13, Revelation 1:7. Revelation 19:11-16).
Acts 1:9-11
And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up;
and a cloud received him out of their sight. And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;

While there are more men named as prophets in the Tanakh (Old Testament), several women are also named as prophets: Miriam (Exodus 15:20), Deborah (Judges 4:4), Huldah (2 Kings 22:14), Noadiah (Nehemiah 6:14), and Isaiah’s wife (Isaiah 8:3). The Talmud (Oral Law) also includes Sarah, Hannah (mother of Samuel), Abigail (wife of David), and Esther.
ReplyDeleteIn the Brit Chadashah (New Testament), Anna is called a prophet in Luke 2:36. While not called prophets themselves, Phillip’s four daughters prophesied (Acts 21:9), as did Elizabeth, the mother of Yochanan the Immerser (John the Baptist). (Luke 1:41–45)
In Luke 1:46–55 (often called the Magnificat), Miriam, the mother of Yeshua (Jesus) boldly prophesies about her experience in light of God's promise to Abraham and God's mercy and saving power. And she was among the men and women in prayer on Shavuot when the Ruach HaKodesh fell and the people spoke the Good News in foreign languages. (Acts 1:14)
Miriam: First Woman Named as a Prophet
“Then Miriam the prophetess, Aaron's sister, took a timbrel in her hand, and all the women followed her, with timbrels and dancing.” (Exodus 15:20)
Miriam, Aaron and Moses’ older sister, has the honor of being the first woman who is called a prophet in the Bible.
She was God’s gift, not only to her family, but also to Israel.
Born at a time when the bitter enslavement of the Hebrew people was reaching its depths of despair, Amram and Jocheved named their daughter Miriam, which comes from the Hebrew marah or bitterness.
The rabbis teach that the spirit of prophecy came to her when she was quite young—she prophesied to her parents that her mother was to bear a son that would free the Hebrew people from their bondage. (Talmud, Sotah 11b, 12b)
