Jesus is the
ONLY one who fulfilled all of the Messianic
prophecies of the Old Testament. He revealed the prophecies concerning Himself to His apostles AND His disciples. This is in stark
contrast to what the OAC believe today.
Catechism of the Old Apostolic Church of Africa…Part 2;
Question 38 (page 68):
“Who can understand
the scriptures?” (Sic)
“Ans. Those whose
spiritual eye has been opened by the spirit of God. We read in Luke 24 v. 45,
with reference to the Apostles:-“Then opened he their understanding, that they
might understand the scriptures.”…”
Module 1 and Module 2 (earth, light, water and kingdom) give clear indications of how the term “opened he their
understanding” is misused and abused to mean something else completely
different. The OAC believe that only their “apostles” can reveal the “hidden
mysteries” of the Bible.
Jesus did
not reveal the Scriptures to His apostles only. He also appeared to two of His
disciples on their way to Emmaus and expounded to them all the scriptures
concerning Himself, beginning at
Moses and all the prophets (Luke 24:25-27).
Let us read
the single excerpt from Question 38 of the OAC catechism in conjunction with
the other missing verses:
Luke 24:44-48 And he
said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet
with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in
the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms,
concerning me. Then opened he their understanding, that they might
understand the scriptures, And said unto them, Thus it is written, and
thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third
day: And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his
name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. And ye are witnesses of
these things.
Before He
was crucified, His disciples did not fully understand the Scriptures pertaining
to Him, it was only after His crucifixion and resurrection that they fully
understood that He is the Messiah. Allow me to share a few examples.

Nor consider that it is expedient for us, that one man should die for the

nation; And not for that nation only, but that also he should gather together
in one the children of God that were scattered abroad.

see thou to that. And he cast down the pieces of silver in the temple, and
departed, and went and hanged himself. And the chief priests took the silver

These were
just a few examples. The Bible is shallow enough for a child to understand, yet
deep enough for an educated adult to drown in.
Isaiah 53:1-12 Who
hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed?
For
he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry
ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no
beauty that we should desire him. He is despised and rejected of men; a man of
sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him;
he was despised, and we esteemed him not. Surely he hath borne our griefs, and
carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and
afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our
iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we
are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his
own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. He was
oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as
a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he
openeth not his mouth. He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who
shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living:
for the transgression of my people was he stricken. And he made his grave with
the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence,
neither was any deceit in his mouth. Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he
hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he
shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD
shall prosper in his hand. He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall
be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he
shall bear their iniquities. Therefore will I divide him a portion with the
great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured
out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he
bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.
If you can
understand that the above verses are about Jesus our only Messiah, then your
understanding has been opened and you understand the Scriptures. The Old
Testament is the New Testament concealed, the New Testament is the Old
Testament revealed.
Only by the
Holy Ghost can someone say that Jesus is the Lord. It is that simple, there is
no other Jesus. If anyone preaches any other gospel, let him be accursed (1 Corinthians
12:1-11, 2 Corinthians 11:3-4, Galatians 1:6-10).
