Waiting

- It is the Comforter, the Holy Spirit, sent by the Father that abides with us (John 14:16-26, John 15:26, John 16:5-7, Acts 1:2, Acts 2:1-4, 1 John 5:7-8).
- Jesus went to sit on the right hand of God (Mark 16:19, John 7:33-34, John 13:33, Acts 7:55-56, Acts 9:3-7).
- Jesus is the Bridegroom (Matthew 9:14-15, Mark 2:18-20, Luke 5:33-35, John 3:27-29, Ephesians 5:23-32).
- We should always be ready by having enough oil in our lamps like the five wise virgins because we know neither the day nor the hour wherein the bridegroom (Son of man) will come (Matthew 25:1-13).
- Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb (Revelation 19:7-9).
Whatever is
done unto the least of His brethren is also done to Him (Matthew 25:31-46). Any parent
that loves their children can understand this. Any older brother who feels
protective over his other brothers can also relate. If someone does something
to the smallest of your children or the smallest of your brothers, then it’s as
if they’re also doing it to you, even if you’re not physically present. That’s
the kind of love He has towards us, He was even prepared to die for us of which
there is no greater love (John 15:12-15).
Old Nick, an
OAC member who calls himself “God’s medium” (2 Corinthians 11:13-14) wrote:
“...Onthou net een ding. Daar was nooit n physical
For those of
you who don’t understand Afrikaans, old Nick is saying that there never was a
physical Jesus on earth. Old Nick however firmly believes that humans are
evolved animal spirits.
His belief
makes me think of what Jesus said in John 8:42-44.

Luke 24:39 Behold
my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit
hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.
Hebrews 3:1-3 Wherefore,
holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High
Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus; Who was faithful to him that
appointed him, as also Moses was faithful in all his house. For this man
was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as he who hath builded
the house hath more honour than the house.
Hebrews 7:20-28 And inasmuch
as not without an oath he was made priest: (For those priests were made without
an oath; but this with an oath by him that said unto him, The Lord sware and
will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec:) By
so much was Jesus made a surety of a better testament. And they truly were many
priests, because they were not suffered to continue by reason of death: But this
man, because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood. Wherefore
he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing
he ever liveth to make intercession for them. For such an high priest became
us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher
than the heavens; Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up
sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people's: for this he
did once, when he offered up himself. For the law maketh men high priests
which have infirmity; but the word of the oath, which was since the law, maketh
the Son, who is consecrated for evermore.
Hebrews 10:10-14 By the
which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus
Christ once for all. And every priest standeth daily ministering and
offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins: But
this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on
the right hand of God; From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his
footstool. For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.
Old Nick therefore
rejects the one sacrifice that Jesus made for ever. Only the
precious blood of the Lamb can redeem us (1 Peter 1:18-19). We are all as an unclean
thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags (Isaiah 64:6). The rags are
filthy because our own works are stained by our own sins. By grace are we saved
through faith which is the gift of God, nobody can boast about their own works
(Ephesians
2:8-9).
Titus 3:3-7 For we
ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers
lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one
another. But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man
appeared, Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but
according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and
renewing of the Holy Ghost; Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus
Christ our Saviour; That being justified by his grace, we should be made
heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
Jesus
offered Himself without spot to God to purge our conscience from dead works to
serve the living God (Hebrews 9:12-14).
Hi!
ReplyDeleteHere are some great verses showing that Jesus BODILY rose again. These verses were after He rose, and went to the Disciples.
John 20:27 - Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.
Luke 24:39-43: Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have. And when he had thus spoken, he shewed them his hands and his feet. And while they yet believed not for joy, and wondered, he said unto them, Have ye here any meat? And they gave him a piece of a broiled fish, and of an honeycomb. And he took it, and did eat before them.
Behold the hands! Behold the feet! A spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have! He took fish and honeycomb, and did eat before them! Not quite what you would expect of a mere spirit, hey.
It is important to know that Jesus Christ died, was buried and was BODILY resurrected - cults like the Jehovahs Witnesses deny that. And cults like the OAC deny Jesus's literal existence and sacrifice for us.
1 Corinthians 15:14-15 - And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain. Yea, and we are found FALSE WITNESSES OF GOD; because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not.
Thanks for these verses, I used them in another of my posts "The REAL Jesus". As I update my posts in more detail I'll add these verses. It's tragic that people who claim to go to "church" and claim to be "Christian" would actually deny that Jesus ever died for them and then try to achieve righteousness through their own works.
DeleteHello, This Old Nick is surely Lost. Hope that someday he see the light before it is to late
DeleteI personally sat at a meeting in 2001 when the apostel Boshof said that the apostles has decided that JESUS did exist in the flesh. So old Nick go back to your overplaced and ask him to find out or you must start to believe the Bible

ReplyDeleteGoeie dag geliefde,na watter dood verwys u
DeleteSpiritual death yes , but you need to understand as there are many deaths.

If u take up your cross then it's resurrection

DeleteWrong. The OAC is a giver of life. Life in itself is infinate. There is no death only life. However a life without light is death.

No Gerald Jacobs, the Old Apostolic Church does NOT believe “in the resurrection of the dead..1Cor15:13/1Cor15:21”.
DeleteThe OAC does NOT believe that Jesus of Nazareth physically stood up out of the grave after being crucified and ascended to heaven.
Resurrection as defined by the Concise Oxford Dictionary:
1. rising of Christ from the grave; rising again of dead at the Last Judgement.
2. exhumation (lit. or fig.), resurrecting, (~ man, (Hist.) body-snatcher), whence ~IST (l) n.; ~plant, club-moss of genus Selaginella or rose of Jericho, unfolding when moistened after being dried.
3. revival after disuse or inactivity or decay, restoration to vogue or memory.
4. Hence ~AL. a. [ME f. OF, f. LL resurrection –onis (as RESURGENT; see –ION)]
Resurrection as defined in the KJV Bible (Strong’s G386):
ἀνάστασις - anastasis
From G450; a standing up again, that is, (literally) a resurrection from death (individual, general or by implication (its author)), or (figuratively) a (moral) recovery (of spiritual truth): - raised to life again, resurrection, rise from the dead, that should rise, rising again.
(Matthew 22:23-33, Matthew 27:50-53, Mark 12:18-27, Luke 14:12-14, Luke 20:27-40, John 5:19-29, John 11:17-27, Acts 1:21-26, Acts 2:29-36, Acts 4:1-22, Acts 4:32-37, Acts 17:16-34, Acts 23:6-8, Acts 24:14-21, Romans 1:1-7, Romans 6:1-14, 1 Corinthians 15:12-49, Philippians 3:5-11, 2 Timothy 2:16-18, Hebrews 6:1-6, Hebrews 11:32-40, 1 Peter 1:3-12, 1 Peter 3:17-22, Revelation 20:1-6)

The Bible is shallow enough for a child to understand, yet deep enough for an adult to drown in:
Matthew 11:25 At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes.
The Bible only speaks of ONE Jesus as Christ:
DeleteThe SAME Jesus that existed before He became flesh (Genesis 1:26, John 1:1-3, John 8:54-59, 1 Corinthians 10:1-4).
The SAME Jesus that was physically born as a person (Matthew 2:1-6, Luke 2:1-7, John 1:14).
The SAME Jesus that personally handpicked twelve disciples to become His apostles approximately 2,000 years ago (Matthew 10:1-4, Luke 6:12-16).
The SAME Jesus that was physically crucified on a cross (Matthew 27:32-44, Mark 15:21-32, Luke 23:26-43, John 19:16-27).
The SAME Jesus that died on a physical cross (Matthew 27:45-56, Mark 15:33-41, Luke 23:44-49, John 19:28-37).
The SAME Jesus that was buried (Matthew 27:57-61, Mark 15:42-47, Luke 23:50-56, John 19:38-42).
The SAME Jesus that came back to life as HIMSELF, a flesh and bones person, NOT as a spirit:
Luke 24:36-43 And as they thus spake, Jesus himself stood in the midst of them, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you. But they were terrified and affrighted, and supposed that they had seen a spirit. And he said unto them, Why are ye troubled? and why do thoughts arise in your hearts? Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself:
handle me, and see;
for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have. And when he had thus spoken, he shewed them his hands and his feet. And while they yet believed not for joy, and wondered, he said unto them, Have ye here any meat? And they gave him a piece of a broiled fish, and of an honeycomb. And he took it, and did eat before them.
The SAME Jesus that ascended up into heaven and will come in like manner as His disciples saw Him go:
Acts 1:9-11 And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up;
and a cloud received him out of their sight. And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;
Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.
The SAME Jesus that is still a singular man and NOT a crowd of people:
1 Timothy 2:5-6 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.
The SAME Jesus that will return is NOT the OAC:
Hebrews 13:8-9 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever. Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace;
not with meats, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein.

PS: @ priest Hans Matthyssen, the Comforter is NOT the church (John 14:15-31, John 15:26-27, John 16:4-15). Please read your whole Bible and read the verses in context, reading single verses out of context is NOT how the Bible was meant to be read.
Iets vir so bietjie evangelistiese kant 🏻
Tip 🏻 Mattheus ........
Mat 6 v 20 maar maak vir julle skatte bymekaar in die hemel, waar geen mot of roes verniel nie en waar diewe nie inbreek en steel nie;
Dag od Joubert x Wil graag dt verstaan Kan Di geliefdes my fall help on dt sigbaar t maak ASB ♀️🤷♀️
DeleteAmen baie danki nu het dit lig geword by my geliefdes🤝
DeleteEk het reeds die teks gegee
DeleteMatt 16:27 & 28
Lyk my u glo nes die wêreld?
2 Petrus 1: 16-18
Want ons het nie kunstig verdigte fabels nagevolg toe ons julle die krag en koms van onse Here Jesus Christus bekend gemaak het nie, maar ons was aanskouers van sy majesteit;
