This organization was founded and headed by self-proclaimed “apostle” Nicky Verster in Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape.

2 Corinthians 11:14

Matthew 6:22-23

The light of the body is the eye:

if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!

Nicky is also the author of “The Secret to God’s Light” and “Secrets of the unknown God”. In Nicky’s own words he describes his books as “…These teachings are solely for the flock of God and true seekers beloved. I keep a few books in stock for the members, as they are quite expensive in bookshops. I have The Secret to God's Light and Secrets of the Unknown God. They sell for R430 each in book shops, but when I have stock available, I supply to members for R250 each. If they do not pick up from Church or my home, they will be responsible for postage costs…” The content of his books are the same as used in his videos; his videos promote the sale of his books. If you’ve seen the videos you’ve read the books and vice versa.

Secrets of the unknown God

Nicky Verster is a former member of the OAC and also claims to have practised Eastern religions such as Buddhism and Hinduism. Having watched a multitude of his videos and reading from his books it is clear that he erroneously tries to incorporate and harmonize non-Biblical philosophies from the East with how he personally interprets the Bible.

“…I was brought up a Christian but I was also taught by gurus and masters from the east, for many years. I was vegetarian, I learned to meditate and God took me a long path before he brought me back. I totally rejected the Bible because too many things are contradictory in the Bible and many other things doesn’t make sense at all. For this reason I was taught by a very wise master, Murat Singh Ji. He was from India and he taught me many things. As a matter of fact he actually revealed many things to me which contributed to me understanding the Bible. Some of the codes of the Bible were revealed to me by God through one of his angels…” – Posted on September 13, 2015 by Nicky Verster

The above argument makes about as much sense as turning to Judaism or Islam to reveal the mysteries of the Sutta Pitaka or Shruti, and then trying to convince Buddhists and Hindus of their secret “codes”.

Nicky’s premise is that the whole Bible was written in “codes” which is very similar to other OAC gnostic spiritual interpretations. Nicky believes the whole Bible actually consists only of parables, each and every person and account in the Bible according to Nicky is all part of one big parable – none of it really happened and nobody ever physically existed according to Nicky.

Nicky believes everything written in the Bible “…will have a metaphorical meaning to what we read, as it is not visible to the physical eye…” – Posted on August 28, 2014 by Nicky Verster

Herewith a quick overview of Nicky’s most common so-called secret “codes”:

·         Animals – Nicky believes every instance where animals are mentioned, that the Bible actually means spirits in the mind representing darkness and light.

·         Beast – Nicky believes every instance where a beast is mentioned, that the Bible actually means the physical body as a “donkey” that carries the “gift”.

·         Earth – Nicky believes every instance where earth or ground is mentioned, that the Bible actually means the mind of man.

·         Egypt – Nicky believes every instance where Egypt is mentioned, that the Bible actually means the world we desire.

·         Eye – Nicky believes every instance where eye is mentioned, that the Bible actually means when you suddenly understand something very clearly and you say “I see!”

·         Heart – Nicky believes every instance where heart is mentioned, that the Bible actually means the heart of understanding.

·         Jesus – Nicky believes every instance where Jesus is mentioned, that the Bible actually means a random individual member of the OAC. Nicky also believes that he or any other random person of the OAC can be Jesus, or Adam, or Mary or even Lucifer. In this video Nicky believes the OAC is Jesushttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CGRSzevc4as

·         Light – Nicky believes every instance where light is mentioned, that the Bible actually means enlightenment of the mind, like in a cartoon when a light bulb appears above someone’s head.

·         Seed – Nicky believes every instance where seed is mentioned, that the Bible actually means a spoken word from someone’s mouth.

·         Sword – Nicky believes every instance where sword is mentioned, that the Bible actually means the tongue.

·         Temple – Nicky believes every instance where temple is mentioned, that the Bible actually means your physical body.

·         Water – Nicky believes every instance where water is mentioned, that the Bible actually means words of teaching from a person’s mouth.

·         Well – Nicky believes every instance where well is mentioned, that the Bible actually means the Bible for those who do not understand the Bible “spiritually”.

“…That is supposed to be known by all OAC. If you say that Jesus was human, you do not understand the Church. If Jesus is human then God is human, and the body is physical, and we are all physical members of a physical body. I have explained this so many times…. Evangelistic. https://youtu.be/BHoogPQ8qMY…” – Posted on June 13, 2016 by Nicky Verster

“…This is not debatable. Jesus was never human, no matter what the apostle teaches. The Bible is spirit and so are we…. spirit beings. People merely do not understand the Bible. The truth is lost in flesh and darkness…” – Posted on June 27, 2016 by Nicky Verster

The opinions above have remained unchanged over the years despite his recent second marriage and his reappearance back at the OAC.

What are Nicky's true motives then, has he really returned to the OAC's fold or does he have ulterior motives?

Does he want to climb the ranks within the OAC as a celebrity through media campaigns or is he trying to recruit members for his own organisation?

“…or else I’m going to delete and block you!”

Nicky seems to have launched a media campaign via YouTube and Facebook to gain popularity across all the “apostleships” in the OAC. Most of his video sermons begin with “I want us” and he ends them by requesting that his videos be shared among all the other members of the OAC. His videos seem to be more about promoting himself and how he wants everyone else to believe. Some members have mistaken him for an OAC Officer because his sermons sound very much like those being preached in their own communities. What’s revealing is that Nicky doesn’t correct anyone who addresses him as “elder” or “apostle” or any other OAC Officer.

Nicky’s videos on social media however are in direct violation of the OAC’s own official policy which is as stated below:

The OAC has a “policy that does not allow the Church or its Officers to participate formally on social media”.

Nicky can therefore not be an OAC Officer and/or he is being disobedient to his own OACoverplaced”.

The definition of a hypocrite according to The Concise Oxford Dictionary:

hŷ’pocrît|e n. person guilty of hypocrisy; dissembler, pretender; so ~ICAL (-î‘t-) a. [ME, f. OF ypocrite f. eccl. L f. Gk hupokritês actor (as prec.)]

“…One should ask as many questions as it might take to fully comprehend these teachings. (www.godsmedium.com)…” – Posted on April 16, 2013 by Nicky Verster

“…I find that people have many questions and not Shure whether to ask questions. Please feel free to ask any questions you want. our God is a god of Love and Light, nothing is unknown to Him…” – Posted on May 16, 2017 by Nicky Verster

Talk is cheap and actions speak louder than words. Does Nicky practise what he preaches, does he walk the talk?

Despite the noble invitations to ask as many questions as you please, Nicky is actually intolerant of anyone who disagrees with his opinions and twisting of Scripture. There were many comments and questions critical of his statements which have been deleted and/or blocked without any explanation or attempt at dialogue. It seems you must just say yes and amen and accept his god complex without question or you’ll get deleted and/or blocked. Nicky absolutely refuses to enter into any type of debate. This type of arrogant behaviour is typical of a narcissist who thrives on confirmation bias and of intellectual dishonesty. A tree is known by its fruit.

Now let’s look at some of Nicky’s most common arguments throughout his videos:

Nicky says: The whole Bible was written in parables or codes

No Nicky, it wasn’t. The Old Testament was written in ancient Hebrew and the New Testament was written in ancient Greek within the context of Judaism. Any attempt to discover hidden “codes” from a translation without consulting the original language and context is a recipe for failure.

Secret “codes” are not the “way” and are of no value without love (1 Corinthians 13:1-3). Love is the fulfilling of the law, not secret “codes” (Romans 13:8-14).

Do you know why Jesus spoke in parables?

It was a fulfilment of prophecy (Psalms 78:2, Isaiah 6:9-10, Matthew 13:14, Matthew 13:35).

Did you ever notice that whenever Jesus spoke in parables, He was speaking to the crowd and not to His own disciples?

He would gather His disciples afterwards and explain the parables in detail to them.

Why did Jesus do this?

It was so that whoever rejected His message would remain spiritually blind as they wondered about the meaning of His message. That’s why Jesus said for those that are outside the kingdom of God, everything is done in parables (Mark 4:11-12).

Jesus was most definitely not a parable speaking parables to parables!

To understand the Bible we first have to start reading the Bible. The Bible warns us against adding or taking away (Deuteronomy 4:2, Deuteronomy 12:32, Proverbs 30:5-6, Revelation 22:18-19).

Nicky says: Everyone mentioned in the Bible never physically existed

No Nicky, that’s like saying that birds aren’t real. Such an assumption makes a mockery of the Bible and renders it as a very imaginative work of fiction.

Jesus received a physical body from Mary while at the same time being fully God with an eternal and sinless nature (Galatians 4:4-5, 1 Timothy 3:16, Hebrews 2:14-17, Hebrews 7:26). Only an antichrist would deny that Jesus Christ was ever here in the flesh (1 John 4:2-3, 2 John 1:7-11).

With regards to Jesus’ existence as a physical person, there are also non-Biblical references to Him. That means that Jesus is not some kind of a parable, HE is for REAL, quite literally!

Outside of the Bible there are non-Christian Greco-Roman and Jewish references to Jesus such as Thallos, Mara bar Serapion, Tacitus, Pliny the Younger, Suetonius, Lucian of Samosata, Celsus, Josephus, Jewish Antiquities 20.200, and the Talmud (baraitha Sanhedrin 43a-b). These are obviously non-Christian references outside of the Bible written by people who never knew Jesus personally. His personal bibliography is recorded for us in the Bible. You can read more about these historical sources at the Biblical Archaeological Society.

With regards to the other people written about in the Bible, some people believe without needing proof that they ever existed as an act of faith. But for the sceptics there happens to be historical research and evidence proving that the people in the Bible physically existed. Lawrence Mykytiuk, an associate professor of library science has already verified the existence of 53 people mentioned in the Bible so far. The criterion he uses is far more stringent than those used for any other historical figure taken by society for granted. There is more than enough physical evidence available if you bother to look for it (Romans 1:20-23).

We don’t need physical evidence to believe the Biblical accounts because we should walk by faith, not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:6-8).

Nicky says: A baptism of fire is better than a water baptism

Firstly Nicky, a baptism of fire is contradictory to the OAC’s own Confession of Faith which states:

“…WE BELIEVE in the administering of the three holy sacraments, namely: the Holy Baptism with water unto repentance in the Name of Jesus Christ; the Holy Communion whereby we recieve forgiveness of sins by the blood of Jesus Christ; and the Holy Sealing by the laying on of hands by an Apostle of Jesus Christ, whereby we recieve the Holy Ghost; and in the administering, through the living for the dead, of the three holy sacraments unto the souls in the realm of the dead…”

Secondly Nicky, a baptism of fire is definitely not something we should want or look forward to. John the Baptist was at the Jordan River preaching repentance and offering baptism to all who came to hear him. Some came out of a sincere desire to hear the truth while others came for selfish reasons (Matthew 3:1-12). John's response was to also mention a fire baptism that will be carried out by Jesus. Therefore two baptisms are mentioned:

First – Water baptism for those who repent of their sins, accept Christ as their Lord and Saviour, and receive God's Spirit which makes them true Christians.

Second – Fire baptism is a punishment of what will happen to the “chaff” that refuses to repent.

Jesus will purge His floor, first gathering His wheat into the garner and then burning up the “chaff” with unquenchable fire.

Later Jesus gave a parable about a man who discovered his enemy had secretly sowed tares among his wheat. Jesus’ parable will come to life and have a much deeper meaning once you understand the difference between tares and wheat. When the man's servants asked him what should be done he decides to let both grow together until the harvest. Then the tares will be gathered together and burned while the wheat will be gathered and taken to the granary (Matthew 13:24-30). The wheat symbolizes those who will ultimately be in God's kingdom and the tares are the unrepentant who will receive a baptism of fire (Matthew 13:38, Matthew 13:40). The wheat and the tares are allowed to co-exist until God gathers in His harvest. The tares will receive a baptism of fire, burnt up and destroyed forever in a lake filled with fire (Maleachi 4:1, Revelation 20:14). Nicky, on whose side are you anyway?

Nicky says: Hell doesn’t exist because your spirit can’t burn

Nicky, this is ironic especially since you promote a spiritual baptism of fire (hell).

The Bible doesn’t state anywhere that our spirit will burn, it does state that our spirit (rûach in Hebrew, pneuma in Greek – breath of life or life force) returns to God (Ecclesiastes 8:8, Ecclesiastes 12:7, Luke 23:46, Acts 7:59).

Soul and spirit are as narrowly connected as blood and breath, without either you will die. Both are essential for life, and even though they are connected, they are not the same.

The soul and the body on the other hand can both be destroyed in hell (Matthew 10:28). If you have ever held your hand over a flame, you would know that to keep your hand there is painful, it’s torture. If you have a nightmare and dream that you’re burning, you’ll experience the same emotions even though there is no actual flame. I’m not aware of anyone that can control what happens in their dreams. Of course there are also other ways we can spiritually burn without a visible flame such as burning with anger, jealousy, rage, shame, embarrassment etc. That’s just one example.

The LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul (Genesis 2:7). The word “soul” is translated from Hebrew, nephesh which means a breathing creature. Blood is the soul of the flesh (Genesis 9:4, Leviticus 17:11) and the soul can be poured out till death (Isaiah 53:12). The soul definitely has physical attributes such as touching (Leviticus 5:2), eating (Leviticus 7:20, Deuteronomy 12:20) and working (Leviticus 23:30). A soul can even disobey the law (Romans 13:1).

“A computer without software is the equivalent of a brick. A computer can’t work without software, and likewise, software can’t work without a computer and they both need electricity to work. The soul is to the body what software is to the computer and the spirit is to the body what electricity is to the computer.”  – An IT expert’s analogy

An interesting point about Lazarus and the rich man (Luke 16:19-31) is that Jesus knows Lazarus by his name whereas the rich man is just a rich man. Nicky, on whose side are you anyway?

Nicky says: Jesus did not ascend in His “fleshly” body

Nicky, there is more than enough evidence in the Bible and from non-Christian sources that Jesus was and is still a “flesh and bones” person after His resurrection (Luke 24:36-43, John 20:24-29, 1 Corinthians 15:12-19). Jesus Himself said “a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have”, and it was this very same Jesus that was taken up from His disciples and a cloud received Him out of their sight (Acts 1:2-11, 1 Timothy 2:5-6).

Jesus is no ordinary “flesh and bones” person (Matthew 17:1-8, Mark 9:2-8, Luke 9:28-36, John 1:14, 2 Peter 1:16-18), He was born as the Messiah and fulfilled the Messianic prophecies as the suffering servant (Philippians 2:4-11);

He was not just another ordinary man.

You are correct that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God (1 Corinthians 15:50), but reading that verse out of context is not a proof text to support your argument. That specific verse is not referring to the physical body of Jesus and when reading that verse with the subsequent verses (1 Corinthians 15:51-54) the context becomes really very clear. At the last trumpet the dead shall be raised incorruptible and the mortal must put on immortality (Isaiah 25:8-9, Luke 20:34-38, Romans 6:7-12, Romans 8:9-11, 2 Corinthians 4:10-12, Hebrews 2:13-15, Revelation 20:12-15, Revelation 21:1-4). Jesus however is neither mortal nor corruptible because He had no sin (1 Peter 2:22-24, 1 John 3:5).

Nicky says: Jesus has already returned as the church

No Nicky, Jesus did not become a church and Jesus has clearly not returned yet.

Jesus Christ isn’t the OAC or any other church because He is the head of the body, the church (Ephesians 5:23-32, Colossians 1:18). Using matrimony as an example we can understand that Jesus is the Bridegroom (Matthew 9:14-15, Mark 2:18-20, Luke 5:33-35, John 3:27-29,) and the church is His bridesmaid also known as the body of Christ (Romans 12:5, 1 Corinthians 10:16-17, 1 Corinthians 12:12-27, Ephesians 4:11-13). When read in context, body of Christ means the body (church) belonging to Jesus Christ.

We read of the kingdom of God which will be seen by some of those standing there and listening to Jesus before they taste of death (Matthew 16:28, Mark 9:1, Luke 9:27). All three gospels give an account of Jesus’ transfiguration after He made that statement. Peter, James and John were eyewitnesses on the mountain when Jesus spoke to Moses and Elijah (Matthew 17:1-13, Mark 9:2-13, Luke 9:28-36).

Peter, being one of those present when Jesus made that statement, saw for himself the transfiguration of Jesus on the mountain. Not with cunningly devised fables, but as an eyewitness (2 Peter 1:16-18).

Later, the disciples saw the pouring out of the Holy Ghost at Pentecost (Acts 2:1-13) and the kingdom of God is righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost (Romans 14:17). Jesus said if any man keeps His saying they will never see death (John 8:51). This then is a grave warning to those who keep not His saying and will taste of the second death which is the lake of fire (Revelation 2:11, Revelation 20:6, Revelation 20:14, Revelation 21:8).

These verses are not to be confused with the restoration of the kingdom to Israel and Jesuspromised return (Acts 1:6-11, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18). Jesus shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of His disciples forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God before He was taken up (Acts 1:2-5). The same Jesus, which was taken up from His disciples into heaven, shall so come in like manner as they saw him go into heaven (Acts 1:11).

Nicky says: There is more than one Jesus Christ in the Bible

Yes Nicky, there are many false christs, false prophets and false apostles, but there is only One True MessiahJesus Christ. Don’t get confused between them.

Matthew and Luke do not have accounts of a different Jesus, they both complement one another of the same One and Only Jesus Christ:

Jesus was born in Bethlehem (Matthew 2:1-12)

Jesus was born in Bethlehem (Luke 2:1-7)

Jesus is circumcised when He is eight days old and presented at the Temple in Jerusalem (Luke 2:21-38).

Joseph fled with Mary and Jesus to Egypt (Matthew 2:13-15)

Joseph, Mary and Jesus return to Nazareth (Matthew 2:19-23)

Joseph, Mary and Jesus return to Nazareth (Luke 2:39-40)

Each account fills in the gaps rather nicely. Take note that Bethlehem and Jerusalem are only about 12km apart, whereas Nazareth and Bethlehem are about 110km apart.

“Near the end of the reign of Herod, Egypt controlled the city of Ascalon and the surrounding region, which is roughly 30–40 miles west of Bethlehem. Joseph and Mary could have made the trip in a single day if they left early. The New Testament doesn’t tell us that they went to Ascalon, but it certainly would have made sense at the time. We don’t know how long they were there. Luke implies that Jesus was born in 1 BC, in which case Herod would have died before Passover of 1 AD. If that’s the case, then they were only in “Egypt” for a few months, which would explain why the flight into Egypt doesn’t appear at all in Luke’s gospel.”  – David Lake, Senior Analyst, BA Mathematics

Jesus wasn’t physically crucified in Egypt either. The great city mentioned in Revelation 11:8 refers to Jerusalem, not Egypt. Why is Jerusalem spiritually called Sodom and Egypt (Mark 15:28, Luke 13:31-35)? Do you ever know what happened in Sodom and in Egypt? Sodom is known for sexual malpractices and Egypt is known for oppression and slavery. Jesus took all of our iniquities upon Himself to free us from the bondage of sin.

And yes, the same as with Paul, there are still Christians being persecuted, tortured and even being killed even to this day for their faith in Jesus Christ – they are also being “crucified” with Christ.

The above points were just some of the main points; there are simply too many other theological errors that Nicky makes to cover in one post. Please feel free to contact us with any other points you may wish to have clarified. A lot of Nicky’s other arguments are refuted in other posts on this blog:

Why wait for Jesus?

So what can we conclude about this organisation after looking at their beliefs and interpretation of the Bible? The warnings recorded for us in the Bible are very clear, here are just a few:

Matthew 24:23-27

Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there;

believe it not.

For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders;

insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

Behold, I have told you before. Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert;

go not forth:

behold, he is in the secret chambers;

believe it not. For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

2 Corinthians 11:13-15

For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel;

for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness;

whose end shall be according to their works.

2 Peter 3:3-7

Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:

Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:

But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

2 John 1:7

For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.

If the shoe fits, wear it.

Nicky, if you happen to read this far, and you have read through this whole post, congratulations! We sincerely pray for you and your followers and we hope this post will serve as a heartfelt and prayerful wake-up call before it’s too late.

For the other readers of this post, Nicky was sent a draft copy of this post for comment before publishing and so far no comments or feedback have been received prior to publishing.

Get to know Jesus, He is the only Messiah!

“Peek-a-BOOO…I’m spiritual”

Code busters to “crack” the “code”:

If Animals are supposedly spirits in the mind representing dark and light:

Why was darkness upon the face of the deep before the sun, moon, stars and animals were created (Genesis 1:2)?

Why was there light before the sun, moon, stars and animals were created (Genesis 1:3)?

Why were animals only created after four successive cycles of evening and morning – dark and light (Genesis 1:20-23)?

Why are there no verses in the Bible stating that animals are spirits in the mind representing dark and light?

If a Beast is supposedly your physical body acting as a “donkey” to carry the “gift”:

How is it possible to give your beast to your neighbour to look after and it dies or gets hurt or is driven away without being seen (Exodus 22:10)?

Why should someone lying with a beast be put to death (Exodus 22:19)?

Why does the spirit of the beast go downward to the earth (Ecclesiastes 3:21)?

What kind of spring does a beast of the field drink from (Psalms 104:10-11)?

Why are there no verses in the Bible stating that a beast is your physical body acting as a “donkey” to carry the “gift”?

If Earth is supposedly the mind of man:

Why was the earth created before man was even formed from the dust of the ground (Genesis 1:1)?

Why did God call the dry land Earth (Genesis 1:10)?

Why was man given dominion over all the earth (Genesis 1:26-28)?

Why did it repent the LORD that He had made man on the earth (Genesis 6:5-7)?

Why was man created upon the earth (Deuteronomy 4:32, Job 7:1, Job 20:4, Isaiah 45:12)?

After a new earth is created, why will the former earth not come to mind (Isaiah 65:17)?

Why does the spirit of man go upward while the spirit of the beast goes downward towards the earth (Ecclesiastes 3:21)?

Why is there not a just man upon earth, that does good and sins not (Ecclesiastes 7:20)?

Why was the Son of man three days and three nights in the heart of the earth (Matthew 12:40)?

Why should no man be called your father upon the earth (Matthew 23:9)?

Why is the first man of the earth, earthy (1 Corinthians 15:47)?

Why are there no verses in the Bible stating that Earth is the mind of man?

Please note: the parables of the sower refer to the way side, stony places, a rock, thorns and good ground – not the earth as a whole (Matthew 13:1-9, Mark 4:1-20, Luke 8:4-15).

If Egypt is supposedly the world we desire:

Why did the Lord tell Abram that his seed will be a stranger in a land that is not theirs and would be afflicted for four hundred years (Genesis 15:12-14, Acts 7:17-19)?

Why were the children of Israel oppressed by the new king over Egypt (Exodus 1:8-22)?

Why did the children of Israel sigh and cry out because of their bondage (Exodus 2:23-25, Acts 7:34)?

Why did the Egyptians keep the children of Israel in bondage, causing them to groan (Exodus 6:5-7)?

Why did Moses refer to Egypt as the house of bondage (Exodus 13:3)?

Why are there no verses in the Bible stating that Egypt is the world we desire?

If Eye is a clear understanding:

Why is speech understood by using the ear and not the eye (Genesis 11:7, Deuteronomy 28:49, 2 Kings 18:26, Nehemiah 8:3, Job 23:5, Isaiah 33:19, Isaiah 36:11, Matthew 15:10 etc)?

Why is the eye not satisfied with seeing (Ecclesiastes 1:8)?

Why must the eyes be shut to understand with the heart (Isaiah 6:10, Matthew 13:15, Acts 28:27)?

Why do eyes weep and run with tears (Job 16:20, Jeremiah 13:17, Lamentations 1:16, Lamentations 3:48)?

Why does the eye affect the heart (Lamentations 3:51)?

Why will the sword be upon the idol shepherd’s right eye and his right eye be utterly darkened (Zechariah 11:17)?

How is it possible to look at a woman and lust after her with the right eye (Matthew 5:28-29)?

Why is it better to remove an offending eye and enter life rather than having two eyes and cast into hell fire (Matthew 18:9, Mark 9:47)?

Does a needle have an understanding that a camel can pass through (Matthew 19:24, Mark 10:25, Luke 18:25)?

Can the eye tell the hand it isn’t needed (1 Corinthians 12:21)?

Why is the twinkling of an eye just for a moment (1 Corinthians 15:52)?

How will those who pierced Jesus also see Him (Revelations 1:7)?

Context is important; understanding comes via all our senses, not just the eye.

If Heart is the heart of understanding:

Why did Solomon ask for an understanding heart to judge his people (1 Kings 3:8-12)?

Why did Job say that those whose heart was hid from understanding will not be exalted (Job 17:4)?

Who has given understanding to the heart (Job 38:36)?

Why will the meditation of my heart be of understanding (Psalms 49:3)?

Why will I observe the law with my whole heart when given understanding (Psalms 119:34)?

Why will the heart be applied to understanding when the ear is inclined unto wisdom (Proverbs 2:2)?

Why must we trust in the LORD with all our heart and not lean on our own understanding (Proverbs 3:5, Mark 12:33)?

Why does wisdom rest in the heart of him that has understanding (Proverbs 14:33)?

Why does the heart of him that has understanding seek knowledge (Proverbs 15:14)?

Why does a fool’s heart discover itself and has no delight in understanding (Proverbs 18:2)?

How do people understand with their heart (Isaiah 6:10, Matthew 13:15, Acts 28:27)?

How does the heart of the rash understand knowledge (Isaiah 32:4)?

Why do the ignorant have their understanding darkened, and blindness of their heart (Ephesians 4:18)?

If Jesus is just any random individual:

How many random individuals bruised the head of the serpent, and whose heel was bruised by the serpent (Genesis 3:15, John 19:18, John 12:31-33, Romans 16:20)?

How many random individuals died without breaking any bones (Exodus 12:46, John 19:33)?

How many random individuals cried out “Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani” while dying (Psalms 22:1, Matthew 27:46)?

How many random individuals trust that the LORD will deliver them (Psalms 22:8, Matthew 27:43)?

How many random individuals had water and blood come out of their side when pierced (Psalms 22:14, John 19:34)?

How many random individuals had their hands and feet pierced (Psalms 22:16, Matthew 27:35)?

How many random individuals have been stared at while dying (Psalms 22:17, Matthew 27:36)?

How many random individuals had their garments parted and lots cast for them (Psalms 22:18, John 19:24)?

How many random individuals have experienced thirst while being executed (Psalms 69:3, John 19:28)?

How many random individuals have been shamed and dishonoured by their executioners (Psalms 69:19, Matthew 27:28)?

How many random individuals have been given vinegar when they were thirsty (Psalms 69:21, Matthew 27:34, John 19:29)?

How many random individuals stumbled and fell when their cross was too heavy to bear (Psalms 109:24, John 19:17, Matthew 27:32)?

How many random individuals have been reviled by strangers shaking their heads (Psalms 109:25, Matthew 27:39-40)?

How many random individuals have been smote and spat upon (Isaiah 50:6, Matthew 27:26, Matthew 27:30)?

How many random individuals have been tortured beyond recognition (Isaiah 52:14, John 19:5)?

How many random individuals were innocently wounded and bruised for our mistakes (Isaiah 53:5-6, Isaiah 53:10, Luke 23:33, John 19:16)?

How many random individuals kept quiet while being falsely accused (Isaiah 53:7, Matthew 27:13-14, John 1:29)?

How many random individuals made their grave with the wicked and the rich (Isaiah 53:9, Matthew 27:57-60)?

How many random individuals were numbered with the transgressors to bare the sin of many (Isaiah 53:12, Luke 23:33-34)?

How many random individuals were appointed at a specified time to die for the nation (Daniel 9:26, John 11:49-52)?

For how many random individuals was there an eclipse when they died (Amos 8:9, Matthew 27:45)?

How many random individuals have been betrayed for thirty pieces of silver (Zechariah 11:12-13, Matthew 26:15, Matthew 27:3-7)?

How many random individuals have been looked at while being executed (Zechariah 12:10, Luke 23:35)?

How many random individuals have been a shepherd that was hit and their followers fled (Zechariah 13:7, Matthew 26:31, Mark 14:50)?

How many random individuals can be identified in Isaiah 53:1-12?

How many random individuals do you know of that fulfilled all of the Messianic prophecies above?

These aren’t even all of the Messianic prophecies, the time of His birth, His birth place, His life and His death were all prophesied and Jesus of Nazareth fulfilled all of them!

If Light is enlightenment of the mind:

What are the lights in the firmament that give light upon the earth for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years (Genesis 1:14-19)?

What light was in the dwellings of the children of Israel (Exodus 10:23)?

What was the pillar of fire to give light by night (Exodus 13:21, Exodus 14:20)?

What is the oil for the light (Exodus 25:6, Exodus 27:20, Exodus 35:8)?

What are the seven lamps (Exodus 25:37)?

With what light are the lamps of the candlestick lit (Exodus 40:4, Numbers 4:9, Numbers 8:2)?

What light was against light in three ranks (1 Kings 7:4-5)?

What light did the Jews have (Esther 8:16)?

Why is light given to those in misery, the bitter in soul who long for death (Job 3:20-22)?

Why is light given to a man whose way is hid, and whom God has hedged in (Job 3:23)?

What is the light of the wicked (Job 18:5-6)?

Why does the murderer rise with the light to kill the poor and needy (Job 24:14-17)?

Which commandment is a lamp and which law is light (Proverbs 6:23)?

Why will the stars not give their light, the sun be darkened and the moon not shine (Isaiah 13:10, Isaiah 60:19-20, Matthew 24:29, Mark 13:24, Revelations 21:23-24, Revelations 22:5)?

How will Gentiles come to the light (Isaiah 60:3)?

Why is the light of the body the eye (Matthew 6:22-23, Luke 11:34-36)?

What did Jesus tell His disciples in darkness that they had to speak in light (Matthew 10:27, Luke 12:3)?

Why did Jesus’ face shine as the sun and His raiment white as the light (Matthew 17:2)?

What candle can be lit (Luke 15:8)?

What life was the light of men (John 1:4)?

What is the true Light that lights every man that comes into the world (John 1:7-9)?

What light came into the world that is hated by those who do evil, but attracts those who do truth (John 3:19-21)?

Why did Jesus say that He is the light of the world for as long as He is in the world (John 8:12, John 9:5, John 12:46)?

What are the twelve hours in the day when a man sees the light of this world (John 11:9-10)?

What was the great light that shone from heaven all about Paul (Acts 9:3, Acts 22:6-11, Acts 26:13-23)?

What is the armour of light (Romans 13:12)?

What is the light of the glorious gospel of Christ (2 Corinthians 4:4-6)?

Who is an angel of light (2 Corinthians 11:14)?

How do we walk in the light (1 John 1:5-7)?

How do we abide in the light (1 John 2:9-10)?

As you can see, there is more than one light mentioned throughout the Bible and context is really very important (Psalms 18:28).

If Seed is a spoken word from someone’s mouth:

Why are no seeds mentioned when God spoke (Genesis 1:3)?

What is the grass and the herb yielding seed (Genesis 1:11)?

What is the fruit whose seed is in itself (Genesis 1:12)?

Why was every herb bearing seed and fruit of a tree yielding seed given to man for meat (Genesis 1:28-29)?

Why are no seeds mentioned when Adam gave names to the animals (Genesis 2:19)?

What is the enmity between the seed of the serpent and the seed of the woman who would be called Eve (Genesis 3:15)?

Why did Eve refer to her son Seth as another seed (Genesis 4:25)?

Why did the LORD instruct Noah to take the male and female beasts and fowls with him into the Ark to keep the seed alive on the face of the earth (Genesis 7:1-3)?

Why did God say to Noah and his sons that He established a covenant with them and the seed after them (Genesis 9:8-9)?

Why did the LORD promise land to the seed of Abram (Genesis 12:7, Genesis 13:15-16, Genesis 15:18, Genesis 24:7, Genesis 26:3-4 etc.)?

How is Abram able to speak and say he has no seed (Genesis 15:3, Hebrews 11:11)?

Why did the LORD say to Abram that his seed would be a stranger in a land that is not theirs (Genesis 15:13, Acts 7:6)?

How was the seed of Lot preserved by his two daughters (Genesis 19:30-38)?

How is Abraham’s seed called in Isaac and how is his seed made a nation in the bondwoman (Genesis 21:12-13, Hebrews 11:18)?

How will the seed of Abraham possess the gate of his enemies and how will all the nations of the earth be blessed in his seed (Genesis 22:17-18, Genesis 24:60, Genesis 26:4, Acts 3:25, Acts 7:5, Acts 13:23, Romans 4:13-18, Romans 9:7-8, Romans 11:1, 2 Corinthians 11:22, Galatians 3:16-29, Revelations 12:17)?

How was Onan expected to raise seed for his brother and how did he spill it (Genesis 38:8-9, Matthew 22:24, Mark 12:19-23, Luke 20:28-38)?

When money failed in the land of Egypt and the land of Canaan, what seed did Joseph give to the Egyptians (Genesis 47:19-24)?

Why was Manna like coriander seed, white; and the taste of it was like wafers made with honey (Exodus 16:31, Numbers 11:7)?

Why will any sowing seed which is to be sown still considered to be clean if any part of a carcase falls upon it (Leviticus 11:37-38)?

If a woman have conceived seed and born a man child, why is she considered unclean for seven days (Leviticus 12:2)?

Why must the man, woman, skin and garments be cleaned with water and considered unclean till the evening if it comes into contact with the man's seed of copulation (Leviticus 15:16-18)?

How will the rain give seed to the sower (Isaiah 55:10)?

What is the seed of the adulterer and the whore (Isaiah 57:3-4)?

What is the mouth of the seed (Isaiah 59:21)?

Which seed will be known among the Gentiles (Isaiah 61:9)?

How did the LORD lead the seed of the house of Israel out of the north country (Jeremiah 23:8)?

How can Shemaiah the Nehelamite’s seed be punished (Jeremiah 29:32)?

How can the house of Israel and the house of Judah be sown with the seed of man, and with the seed of beast (Jeremiah 31:27)?

How can the seed of Israel cease from being a nation (Jeremiah 31:36-37)?

Why did Jesus say the good seed are the children of the kingdom when He is the Sower (Matthew 13:1-23, Matthew 13:36-43)?

Why did Jesus say the kingdom of heaven is like a grain of mustard seed (Matthew 13:1-23, Matthew 17:20, Mark 4:30-32, Luke 13:18-19)?

Why did Jesus say faith is like a grain of mustard seed (Luke 17:5-6)?

How was Jesus Christ our Lord made of the seed of David according to the flesh (Romans 1:3, 2 Timothy 2:8, Hebrews 2:16)?

How does God give every seed his own body (1 Corinthians 15:38)?

The closest that any word can resemble a seed is when Jesus said the word of the kingdom which is the Word of God is like a seed (Matthew 13:1-23, Luke 8:4-15). The Word of God is incorruptible, the Word of God lives and abides forever (Luke 16:29-31, 2 Timothy 3:16-17, 1 Peter 1:23, 1 John 3:9). The tongue on the other hand can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison (James 3:8).

If Sword is the tongue:

How was David able to speak to Goliath and slay him when David didn’t have a sword (1 Samuel 17:45-50)?

How did David cut off Goliath’s head with Goliath’s own sword (1 Samuel 17:51, 1 Samuel 21:9)?

How shall princes fall by the sword for the rage of their tongue (Hosea 7:16)?

If Temple is your physical body:

Who was Solomon that built the temple threescore cubits by twenty cubits by thirty cubits (1 Kings 6:1-2)?

Why is the porch twenty cubits by ten cubits (1 Kings 6:3)?

What are the chambers against the wall (1 Kings 6:5)?

Why is the house before the temple forty cubits long (1 Kings 6:17)?

Why does the temple have a door of olive tree and a fourth part of the wall (1 Kings 6:33)?

Why is the right pillar of the temple’s porch named Jachin and the left pillar named Boaz (1 Kings 7:21)?

Which parts of your physical body are the bowls, and the snuffers, and the basons, and the spoons, and the censers of pure gold; and the hinges of gold (1 Kings 7:50)?

Which parts of your physical body are king David's spears and shields (2 Kings 11:10)?

If Water is words of teaching from a person’s mouth:

Why there was water before man was formed (Genesis 1:1-2)?

What was the laver of brass that had to be made for water to be put into it (Exodus 30:18, Exodus 40:7)?

When Gideon brought the people down to water, why did three hundred men lap water putting their hand to their mouth while the rest bowed down to their knees to drink (Judges 7:4-7)?

Why did Elijah fill barrels of water, then pour water on the burnt sacrifice, on the wood, and fill the trench with water (1 Kings 18:33-35)?

Why will knees be weak as water (Ezekiel 7:17)?

Why will the famine sent by the Lord GOD not be a famine of bread or a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD (Amos 8:11)?

Why is baptism with water unto repentance not as mighty as He who baptizes with the Holy Ghost (Matthew 3:11, Luke 3:16, Acts 1:5)?

Why did Jesus, when he was baptized, go up out of the water (Matthew 3:16, Mark 1:10)?

How was Peter able to walk on water to go to Jesus (Matthew 14:28-29)?

The rivers of living water is the Holy Ghost received by those that believe on Jesus (John 7:37-39).

If Well is the Bible being misunderstood:

Why did Hagar see a well when God opened her eyes (Genesis 21:19)?

Why did Isaac dwell by the well Lahairoi after God blessed him (Genesis 25:11)?

When Isaac pitched his tent in Gerar, why did he dig three wells (Genesis 26:17-22)?

If God was with Isaac, why did Isaac bother to dig a well (Genesis 26:23-33)?

Why did the LORD give people water from the Beer well (Numbers 21:16)?

Why did Jesus tell the Sadducees that they didn’t know the Scriptures instead of telling them they were looking into a well (Matthew 22:23-33)?

Why did Jesus tell the two on their way to Emmaus that they were slow to believe the prophets instead of accusing them of looking into a well (Luke 24:13-32)?

Why did Jesus tell the Jews to search the Scriptures instead of accusing them of looking into a well (John 5:39)?

Why was the Ethiopian reading Scripture and not looking into a well (Acts 8:30-35)?

Why were Paul and Silas reasoning with the Jews in their synagogue out of the Scriptures instead of out of a well (Acts 17:1-9)?

Why was a certain Jew named Apollos mighty in the Scriptures and not mighty in the well (Acts 18:24-28)?

Why is all Scripture given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness so that the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works (2 Timothy 3:15-17)?

  1. Thank you so much for sending me the link, now a lot of Nicky’s statements make sense from his perspective, poor guy is blind and lost. I asked him lots of questions and he deleted all of them. We’ll pray for him

    2. The first video I saw of Nicky was this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GYM4Y_CPchA

Nicky never ever answered my questions and now he deleted my questions, it says a lot about Nicky and his Old Apostolic Church!

I went through my records and this was my message to Nicky when I asked him the questions which he blatantly ignored

If you don’t mind Nicky, I have a few questions about your codes, I would appreciate some clarity on the questions below

You say he poured out oil and wine onto the bandages? Bandages weren’t even invented yet? From the way I read it, oil and wine was poured IN to the wounds probably to clean and seal the wounds, the man had more than one wound?

You say the Samaritan was sent as if he knew before the time because he came prepared to treat the wounded man? Jerusalem and Jericho are 99 miles apart, who would undertake such a journey unprepared to treat their own wounds?

You say the man went downwards as if it was his state of mind going down from Jerusalem to Jericho? Why was the priest, the Levite and the Samaritan not in the same mental state as he was, they were all in the same place? By faith the walls of Jericho fell after being circled for seven days?

You say that the bandages are the love we have for our brothers and sisters, but the Samaritan had compassion (love) for the wounded man even before he bound up his wounds?

You say that the wine is the blood we shed? Wasn’t the wounded man shedding more blood than the Samaritan who wasn't even wounded? The wounds had to be bound and treated otherwise he would’ve shed more blood?

You say the oil is the Holy Spirit? Was the Samaritan actually an apostle that laid hands upon the wounded man? If it’s a fellow brother or sister from church, wouldn’t they already have the Holy Spirit?

You say we are the beast or donkey (physical body) transporting the gift in our minds? So the Samaritan is the gift which in this story is better than the priest and the Levite? If the beast of the Samaritan is his own physical body, then the wounded man must have been dead already because he didn't have his own beast?

It’s obvious now that Nicky completely missed the point about what Jesus was trying to make about the good Samaritan. Thank you so so much ex OAC for answering my questions with your article. Shame on Nicky and his Old Apostolic Church!

  2. You want me to prove you wrong, that is fine. Let us start: in the beginning. In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth. On the first day, he created Light. What was that Light?

    1. Thank you so much for your response Nicky!

If you read through the post you would’ve seen some links, one of the links in the list is Light which answers your question in great detail.

If you don’t feel like reading the long explanation above, here’s a short video:
How could there be light on the first day of Creation if the sun was not created until the fourth day?

    5. APPENDIX
Einstein, in the laws of relativity, taught the world that time passes at different rates in different environments. Absolute time does not exist in our universe. The passage of time is relative. In regions of high velocity or high gravity time actually passes more slowly relative to regions of lower gravity or lower velocity. (One location relative to another, hence the name, the laws of relativity) This is now proven fact. Time actually stretches out. Where ever you are time is normal for you because your biology is part of that local system. Note that the above discussion does not relate to these laws of relativity. It relates to a very different phenomenon, the effect of the stretching of space on the perception of the passage of time.

    1. We have seen your videos and read your books Nicky, none of them explain God’s hidden mysteries or God’s spiritual language.
I’m afraid you’re the one that doesn’t understand.
Over the years we have tried pointing out your misunderstandings in our comments, but you avoided any dialogue and summarily dismissed us by blocking and deleting our comments.
Such arrogant behaviour reveals a lot about your spirituality.

Do you understand what spiritual means within the Biblical context?
      Spiritual vs Natural
      A doctrine too vast?
      Bread breaking
      Imaginative testimony

    2. You have not read my books, or watched my videos. That is a lie. And who are the "we" read your books? I am Nicky Verster, who are you? I do not have anything to hide, and I am not shy of my God.
That video wherein you are attempting to explain the light in Genesis, is not even close to what the Bible is referring to. God is Spirit, John 4: 24. God is Light yes, but the Bible is referring to spiritual enlightenment. In Matthew 5: 14, we are the light of the world. Do we turn into physical lights, for those who are in darkness as well? You are saying that God is physical Light and people can see God with physical eyes???? Again, God is Light yes, but not physical light. He is the Light that replaces the darkness within our hearts. I almost answered you on YouTube, but then you will know that I know to much for your understanding. So... Stop misleading people, get all these people you are misleading to attend a Zoom meeting, then say all the bad things you say about me in front of everybody, and at least give them a chance to learn the truth. Come on be a true servant for God, and expose me where I have a chance to show the people who is the false teacher.

    3. The very first words spoken by God in the beginning was “Let there be light” (Genesis 1:3). Your question was about the light that God created in the beginning, correct?

This light is in some ways similar to the natural light from the sun but existed before the sun (Genesis 1:14-19) or man (Genesis 1:26-31), not to mention man’s mind or heart.
Light isn’t physical, you can’t physically touch or hold light.
Matter and material is physical, but light is electromagnetic radiation of which only a tiny visible spectrum can be seen by the naked eye.

      1 Corinthians 15:46
      Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural;
and afterward that which is spiritual.

God’s divine light emanates from its divine source; an understanding of the natural light can lead to a deeper understanding of the first original light.

You have freedom to express yourself and defend your stance on this blog, way more freedom than is afforded to us on your videos. It seems the irony is lost on you.

By the way, in your books and your videos you try to imply that the sun, moon and stars are below the clouds. That is utter nonsense and nowhere in the Bible is it stated as such.

      Delete
    4. I think Mr Verster is confused and thinks water only exists on earth, that’s probably why he thinks that the sun, moon and stars are below the clouds!? That’s a very narrow-minded and myopic approach to the Bible Mr Verster!!

    1. Do you always think your plans and explanations are the best and better than those of anyone else?
Do you always want to dictate to others what they must do and how to do it?
Is that why you deleted and blocked so many comments on your posted videos?
Is this a tactic to avoid answering and/or responding to comments on your videos?
If you can’t answer questions or respond to statements posted to you on YouTube and on this blog then it’s highly unlikely that you will respond on any other forum or platform.

    2. People are free to watch my videos and accept, or reject my teachings, I cannot possibly dictate or force anybody to believe in what I teach. People have their own free will to read my books, or not. Why are you so obsessed with something you reject, but spend so much time on being negative? You cannot hide forever, and I honestly do not have time to spend on negative minded people such as yourself. You are using some of what you learn from me, turning it into a lie, and building yourself a life on that. What positivity can ever come from negativity? I wish I had time to answer all your millions of questions, but I have to much positive work to do for my God. I build in Light and positivity, not darkness and hate. I will let you know, that we will never all understand, or see God and religion in the same way. God makes that very clear in; Luke 8/ Matthew 13, and Mark 4. He said" Unto you it is given to understand the mysteries of the kingdom of God, to the others not. In John 17: Jesus prayed to Father and said "I pray for them Father, not for the world. Only those that Thee has given me" So, please do not waste my time. I will not answer you, until we do the Zoom; and if there are not enough of your followers watching, I shall not waste God's precious time on that either.

      Thank you.

Regarding “Luke 8/ Matthew 13, and Mark 4”, Jesus of Nazareth, the One you deny ever existed, spoke those words to His disciples, the disciples you deny ever physically existed.

    4. What an ego Nicky has. He wants people to put him on the pedestal before he answers questions?? Eish what a joke

    5. Nicky does seem to have an inflated ego, but unfortunately that’s typical of a lot of people who think they hold the secret to salvation and walk around like they’re the great “I am” with a “holier than thou” attitude.
The fact is, he wasn’t able to refute a single argument otherwise he would’ve been all over this post like a hobo on a ham sandwich.
We had a similar discussion on another blog with OAC “overseer” Koos. Once they’re cornered, they seek excuses and disappear like mist before the sun rises. Unfortunately this behavior is typical and to be expected, we have actually compiled a list:

AntWoord – Is die Ou Apostoliese Kerk ʼn sekte?

The list is in Afrikaans, if you want it translated you can use Google Translate or you can request a translation.

Therefore we are not in the least bit surprised. We need to pray for them. Thankfully many OAC members and officers have come to realize the truth and are saved.
